Me and my Mom took the kids to see Bolt. We went to the Kaysville Theater, that was weird. It brought back so many memories of going there as a kid! It is a really cute movie.

Unlike Cody, I went to a professional to get my hair cut. This is a picture of how much hair I cut off. My hair was too long!

Cody wanted to take a bath, so I told him to go in the bathroom and get ready and I would put him in the bath. I was getting Tanner started on his homework, and when I went into the bathroom to get Cody in the tub, he had given himself a hair cut with my step dad's grooming kit that was on the counter. I had a hard time not laughing but told him he shouldn't do that. I had him call Troy and when Troy told him he can't cut his hair Cody says... "I sorry Daddy." It was the cutest thing. I'm going to take him in and see if they can minimize the damage. LOL

We flew out Thursday night. I saved us money on our checked bags by getting all our stuff in 2 checked bags and 1 carry on. It was a pretty bumpy flight, and none of us slept very much on the plane. In case anyone doesn't know, US Airways now charges you for a blanket and pillow. Their "nap sack" also includes ear plugs and I think eye shades. The cost is $7, I didn't buy one so I don't know how the quality is. They also charge $2 for drinks now. We arrived in Phoenix and had about 2 1/2 hour lay over. The kids slept from Phoenix to Salt Lake. My Mom, Dad and Step-mom, Sue, met us at the airport. We were exhausted but so happy to see them!

Humane Society

This picture is sideways, not sure why it won't rotate, but this cat was trying to climb out of one of the cat rooms. He climbed all the way to the top of the chain link and was trying to get through the fence. I volunteer at the Humane Society on the weekends, I wish I had more time to volunteer, but by the time Troy gets home from work, they are usually pretty close to closing. But I go when I can. Yesterday when I went this one dog, he was an old small dog, and I put a leash on him to take him for a walk and he just layed on the floor. I had to pick him up and carry him outside, where he did the same thing. Just layed down. So I knelt by him and talked to him, pet him and with in about 5 minutes he perked up. His tail was wagging and he seemed happy. The dogs are so funny when you take them outside and let them off the leash, they go nuts! Each dog has a personality and it's fun to spend time with them. I took out a hound mix and at first he seemed to cower down, but after he played outside, he became my shadow. Everywhere I went, he followed me. He was very sweet!

Benny

I've been volunteering at the Humane Society for a few weeks, and when I saw Benny there yesterday I knew he needed to be a part of our family. His previous family turned him into the Humane Society because they couldn't care for him. He is wonderful with the kids. He instantly loved them and they of course adored him. He seems to be house broken, I took him out at 2:30 am, but he has only had an accident in our house once, because Troy didn't take him out soon enough. I've started working with him on a leash but is doing well.

Superbowl XLIII Party!

Not only did the Steelers win, but Eric and Stacie won $1,000 on the game! Wahoo! This poor toad was being tormented by the kids who were trying to catch him forever! I loved everyone wearing their 3D glasses during half time for the Monsters VS Aliens commercial.

A few more post Superbowl pics. They were arm wrestling after the game... not sure how that all came about.

UFC 94

We went over to our friends Chelise & Keli'i's for the UFC fight. It was a lot of fun. Here is a picture of the fish that he got spear fishing that he made and me and playing bubbles and play doh with the kids during the fight.
