Beached whale
This was so sad. This is a Killer whale that beached itself because it was sick and dying. There were bite marks from sharks all over her. It was so sad to watch it getting tossed around in the waves. The whale finally died and they loaded it up on a flatbed truck to take it for autopsy. Killer whales aren't common in Hawaii there is only 250 near Hawaii. The paper said it was a female about 7-12 years old and 20 feet long.
Popcorn kernal
Cody put a popcorn kernal in his ear the night my mom was leaving. I took him to the hospital to get it out, but they couldn't get it out. We had to wait until the morning to take him to a Ear Nose and Throat doctor. The sprayed some water in his ear and washed it out. Kids!
Polynesian Culture Center
There is so much to do here. We got to do so many fun things while at the Polynsesian Culture Center. I learned to Hula, the kids learned to do Poi Balls, we got tattoo (temporary ones) we made fish out of leaves, the kids fished and so much more. It was really fun.
Dole Pineapple Plantation
We had fun at the Dole Plantation. It takes 2 years... yes YEARS to grow a pineapple. In 2001 they had the world's largest maze, but there is now a bigger one in Ireland. But it was fun. The record is 6 minutes, it took us almost an hour. :) They had THE BEST pineapple float/pineapple ice cream!
Searching for sea shells
I was trying to get little sea shells out from between the rocks, I didn't know they still had things living in them.
